Flickr

Today I opened an account on Flickr. I think I will publish a few selected pictures there that I like most. I also added a Flickr widget on the sidebar of my blog. Have fun!

Java2Demo running on IcedRobot

Through the work of the incredible Michael Starzinger, Rémi Forax and Xerces Rånby, the famous Java2Demo now runs in IcedRobot/Daneel. That is the Java2Demo.jar, compiled to Android .dex/.apk file, and run on IcedRobot/Daneel on OpenJDK:

It still needs some small tricks to cheat the Java verifier, but other than that it runs just fine. Performance is indistinguishable from running directly on Java.

Next steps will be:

• Port/implement the Android class libraries to IcedRobot.
• Get the Android application framework running to be able to host actual Android applications
