The whole Java mess in one sentence

Mario develops a talent for poetry:

In the same moment Apple deprecated Java, and Oracle sued Google, I decided that the future of Java is on an Android phone.

I know it’s the 2nd time in a row I post a quote by him. But this sentence really sums up the current situation around Java for me. Just think about the weirdness and irony and truth in it.

    Non counting the fragmentation in the mobile industry. It’s like the old desktop days, the mobile market is now facing the same issues that Java tried to solve (and actually mostly did) in the Desktop field.

    Is doing Android development smart? Google will lose the lawsuit or settle. Then what will Google do? They’ll either have to conform to Java standards or select another language. Just thinking out loud.
