New blog

I had some problems lately with my Blosxom setup, namely spam in the comments and badly written plugins, so I decided to install WordPress instead. This looks much more flexible and has a better (well, Blosxom plugins had none at all) spam protection. The RSS can be fetched here: feed: , the old blog is still available for a while at

About me

I am 28 years old (as of may 2006). I am studying computer science at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe / Germany. I hope to be finished in summer 2006.Also I am currently employed at Aicas GmbH, a nice company that develops a Java VM for embedded and realtime systems. I am mostly working on GNU Classpath‘s free Swing there, which is great fun.

At the moment I live in south Germany, in a village between Freiburg and Karlsruhe. I live there with my 4 year old son Jonah and my girlfriend Madeleine.

Projects I work on

  • Xebece, a multipurpose tool for information visualization and organization, developed by me.
  • GNU Classpath, a project that aims to implement a free version of the Java class libraries. At the moment I am working on some Swing stuff in GNU Classpath
